THE SOUL SURFERS: KILLER FUNK FROM RUSSIA

They come from Nizhny Novgorod, a small town in the East of Russia, and they play a killer  heavy deep funk.

They're called The Soul Surfers (even if they use different pseudonyms like the Gospel Surfers, Rhythm Cowboys or the Snow Surfers) and they're a brand new name in the Funk/Soul scene. Their records are pressed in USA in limited editions and they're starting to be good material for collectors.

I've chosen the track that I like most among their productions. It's a raw instrumental funk with a heavy beats, organs and deep baselines called "Doin' the Raskad". Released on California based Ubiquity Records in very limited editions. Check it out and grab a copy of it!
